I’m pleased to announce two upcoming gallery showings of a recent work, which is the result of a collaboration with visual artist Maggie Mahlock. The work is an installation that features a homemade electronic instrument that I designed, which has sensors that react to a projection of Maggie’s video to perform the instrument. It will be featured Friday, April 26th from 6-9pm at the Clay Street Press Gallery located in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood in downtown Cincinnati. This is occurring in conjunction with the ‘Final Friday’ event in Over-the-Rhine, which features events at most of the art galleries in the area. The work is also currently on display at the Reed Gallery in the DAAP building on the University of Cincinnati campus until April 29th.

Sonic Explorations – ‘Motor Music’
Tonight one of my most recent works ‘Motor Music’ will be premiered at the Sonic Explorations concert at CCM. The piece is for an electronic instrument I built myself, which consists of keyboard controlled motors that act as percussive drivers for clay pots and other objects. The concert will be in the Cohen Family Studio Theater at 8pm in Mary Emery Hall (CCM).
